Linda Blair
Linda Blair was five years young when she became the first child actress to play The Exorcist. She had previously worked as a model over three years and then acted as the child that was demonized, Regan. Linda soon rose to world fame and won the Golden Globe, and seemed likely to receive her first Academy Award for that role however, when the film's leaks revealed that certain parts in the film weren't performed by Linda Blair (the demon voice was recorded through Mercedes McCambridge, and eight seconds of a stunt model were employed) that dream broke in disappointment, which most likely was the beginning of the end that could have been the beginning of an A-list career. In the following years, she managed to secure leading roles in an array of movies. The most notable of these were the television films Born Innocent and Sarah T. Sarah T. Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic and Exorcist II - The Heretic. She was arrested and given three years' probation for her actions after she peer-pressured her into purchasing cocaine at the age of age 18. The much-publicized drug bust caused Linda to be placed on the blacklist in Hollywood and her acting career was soon reduced to B-movies and occasional television guest appearances.
