Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. Her birth date was the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox, who studied for three year at the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s was accepted. The budget of her was augmented by a stipend to students and part-time jobs. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents weren't as good as those of the Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other options she could pursue. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. But she quit when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. From 1977 until 1980 she was main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop group. As part of this group, she was introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they would form their own group, the Eurythmics the pop group. Lennox started working on her debut solo album Diva, which was released around 1992. It became a huge critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album came out in October 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. In addition in May 2019 Lennox has released Lepidoptera a collection of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. is an accompanying piece of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled"Now, I'll let You Go... It's also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a social activist, philanthropist as well as a singer. The Tourists gained some minor notoriety for Dave Stewart's work in the 1970s. They went on, in the 1980s, to become the popular duo Eurythmics. Lennox made her debut as a solo artist in 1992 when she released the album of Diva with several hit tracks like Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the studio album released in 1995 contains cover versions of songs including No MoreI Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. She is credited with seven studio albums by herself and a compilation.
